Google wasn’t the first search engine, nor was it the last, but it quickly became THE search engine because they did something different. Google created a search engine that took all of that information and made it useful and relevant.
By tapping into the social side of information, Google quickly became the best search engine
So the latest ‘big thing’ has been the socializing of the Internet.
The buzz word surrounding all of this has been ‘Web 2.0′. This socializing has gone a long way to making sense of it all, but is there more? What is the next big thing?
The next big thing is…’location, location, location’.
The next big thing is to organize, tag, and link information to a specific location.
Pictures and Wikipedia articles are now linked to Google Earth.
The real revolution will come when this information can be accessed completely and easily from a mobile device, while you’re at that location.
Web 2.0 has helped us begin to organize and make sense of that information. Tying information to a location is the next step

This first screen shot (Figure 1) shows the basic layout of the wiki,
the central area, which contains the information items (called 'tiddlers' here)
there are three main areas to the page: the left side-bar, which carries links to key pages in the wiki;
the right side-bar, which has certain tools, such as the search function, and a set of tabbed lists, labelled Timeline, All, Tags and More.
Timeline is simply a list of 'tiddlers' produced: click on any one and the 'tiddler' pops up on the page; All, is simply all 'tiddlers' in alphabetical order; Tags are index terms associated with 'tiddlers'; and More, covers anything other than Timeline and Tags.
As usual with any Web-based application, movement from area to area is through the links: the difference here is that when you click on anything, what appears is another 'tiddler' on the same page, in other words, another wiki entry.
Creating links is simplicity itself: you move into edit mode (by clicking on Edit) and put words and phrases into double square brackets
If I click on one of the items on the Timeline list
a 'tiddler' for that item appears on the page. I can then open the item to edit it
words can be enboldened by using a pair of single quotes ('') before and after the word, and italicized by a par of oblique strokes (//) before and after - use both and you get bold italics.
A TiddlyWiki is a single html file, which is going to get to be a pretty big file after a while
