  • Weebly might sound like a fan page for Weebles, but it's actually a site that allows you to create websites and blogs using a widget-based interface. In fact, building a website with Weebly is a LOT like building a Squidoo lens.

  • In this video, we learn how to set up a Weebly website. This can be used to build a complete site with multiple pages. First, go to Weebly and enter in your information under the sign up now text. Next, click the sign up button and enter in the Captcha phrase. After this, title your new site and continue on until you see the tabs at the top of the screen. Elements, designs, pages, and settings will all be listed. Go through the designs until you find one you like, then settle on that. Once you do this, go to the elements tab and start to enter in text and information about your website. Edit and create different elements to your site, making it exactly how you want it to be, enjoy playing around with this!

This is a relatively new resource that I've jut re-discovered. The best part of working with video tutorials is the ability to start, stop, and replay key sequences. The down side of producing video tutorials is they take a long time to create and can be made obsolete when there's a new edition. Our Moodle runs the most current edition of Moodle 1.9 hosted by Moodlerooms.

  • This is a collection of 2 Minute Moodles - an attempt to simplify and show how to use a range of Moodle features. The list will grow as I find time to cook some more.

The tutorials try not to assume too much previous knowledge and are presented for the pragmatical and not necessarily tech-savy users (Moodle purists please excuse). They are a bit like that product I got the pun from - something quick and simple to get you going.
