Eleven years ago I was diagnosed with very high blood pressure. My consultant said that as a result, the muscle on the left side of the heart was thicker than it should be. I was prescribed 10mg enalapril, although the amount has increased over the years to 20mg, plus 10mg of felodipine.
I'm worried that the muscle might have become thicker so it needs looking at again, but my GP says this isn't necessary.
