CHILDREN’S Accident and Emergency health services were shut at Southport hospital and concentrated at Ormskirk six years ago in a shake-up aimed to improve patient care.

NHS Sefton’s sexual health service, ISIS, is to hold special screening days at the town’s colleges in the coming months.
The first was at Southport College last week, when students were encouraged to take a test and pick up valuable information from ISIS team members.

A NEW dialysis unit has been officially opened at Southport Hospital bringing treatment closer to patients in Sefton and West Lancashire.
The unit has already been open to kidney patients for the last couple of weeks and offers a safe, quiet and comfortable environment for them while they receive dialysis.
