Alert over clubber with HIV - The Guardian 14th November 2008
Health officials fear that a man with HIV who has been a nightclub regular in Leicester and had unsafe sex with many partners encountered at the venues over six years could have put a number of women at risk.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA), which believes the man's partners might have totalled more than 100, is concerned about his level of unprotected sex.

Blunder over chlamydia tests as 10,000 children as young as 7 invited for STD screen - Daily Mail 23rd October 2008
Children as young as seven were sent personally addressed letters inviting them for a chlamydia test and offering a free do-it-yourself testing kit.
A staggering 10,831 letters were sent to children that should have been sent to adults.

Longer hours for sexual health clinic - Carlisle News & Star 2nd October 2008
A SEXUAL health clinic for the over-20s in Carlisle is extending its hours to include morning appointments.
The London Road Community Clinic at Hilltop Heights will now be open on Fridays from 9.45am to 11.30am.
Medical staff will offer a range of sexual health services, such as contraception, general advice and referral to specialist services.

'Dozens' of under-16s have STIs - BBC Health News 7th September 2008
A total of 281 Scottish children under 16 contracted a sexually transmitted infection (STI) last year, according to new figures obtained by BBC Scotland.
Figures from the Information and Statistics Division show 181 youngsters tested positive for chlamydia.

THE number of cases of HIV/AIDS in Merseyside is at its highest point in five years.
Statistics released by Liverpool John Moores University and the Health Protection Agency show the total number of cases leapt from 381 in 2003 to 664 in 2007.
