Theora is a free and open video compression format from the
Xiph.org Foundation. Like all our
multimedia technology it can be used to distribute film and
video online and on disc without the licensing and royalty
fees or vendor lock-in associated with other formats.

Theora scales from postage stamp to HD resolution, and is
considered particularly competitive at low bitrates.
It is in the same class as MPEG-4/DiVX, and like
the Vorbis audio codec
it has lots of room for improvement as encoder technology
develops.

Theora is in full public release as of November 3, 2008.
The bitstream format for Theora I was frozen Thursday, 2004
July 1. All bitstreams encoded since that date will remain compatible
with future releases.

JUDS

The source is provided for a shared library containing the compiled native C code, which is called into by the Java UnixDomainSocket classes via JNI (Java Native Interface) to open, close, unlink (delete), read, and write to Unix domain sockets.

JUDS consists of an abstract class UnixDomainSocket and two derived classes, UnixDomainSocketClient and UnixDomainSocketServer. It can simply be used by instantiating one of the two classes. Through the getInputStream and getOutputStream methods, the resulting instance can be used to get an InputStream and/or OutputStream object.

WebKit for SWT (ver. 0.5) is an
embeddable Java™ WebKit browser component developed
by Genuitec. This component can be used in the development
of a wide range of Java SWT applications that require
integration of rich HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Flash
content and functionality.

WebKit for SWT is
being developed to serve as a technology platform for our
OSS mobile web initiative, Eclipse "Blinki" Mobile Web
DevKit and in the research of a new generation of
network-based developer tools. To begin using WebKit for
SWT:

   Unzip the webkit-swt-0.5.0.zip to your system
   
3. 
   
   Open the <install dir>/bin directory and execute
   runExampleBrowser.bat to see this framework in action

When starting off with Eclipse plugin development or rich client
platform development, you're more than likely to run into issues like ClassNotFoundException
or problems with the Java command line and properties like java.endorsed.dirs.

Most often, these problems arise because many Eclipse developers
don't
realise the magic that lets Eclipse do its work. Amongst these are the
fact that there's actually two processes under the covers, and that
each bundle has its own classloader. Once you understand how these fit
together, debugging problems may be somewhat easier.
