Older web users and text size
During the qualitative interviews, the participants were asked in an open-ended question to describe the main difficulties they experience when using pages on the web.

- over 50% volunteered text size was sometimes a problem.
- when the participants were specifically asked if they had ever experienced any difficulties with the size of the writing on web pages and during the discussions, nearly all of the participants said that they sometimes found the text too small.
- less than half of the participants knew that they could change the size of the text on the page.
- This participant was the only one so far to notice the in-page tools (icons) for changing the presentation of text and said that when they were available, he used them to increase the text if he needed to make it bigger.
