rivkat | The joy of music videos
astolat and geekturnedvamp are introducing me to the wonderful world of offline vidding, and it is a lot of fun. I have a list of downloaded SV vids I like that I'm going to foist on geekturnedvamp as possibly worth waiting through a bad connection for. I should note that the song makes a big difference to me; if I don't like the song, I'm extremely unlikely to like the vid, no matter how well put together. Abused – argh! Can't find the link. Beautiful (the non-Lex ringer in the bunch) – Tresca. Break Me Shake Me, by Hecubus. Charm Attack, by carrie. Doesn't Even Matter, by ddcatwoman. Every You Every Me, by Carrie. Fighter, by Hope. Forbidden Love, by Hecubus (a superb movie trailer for Smallville-as-gay-romance). Hungry Eyes, by Soappocrates. I Want Your Sex, by eisakay. Maybe (to The Harder They Come), by katkim. Shut Up and Kiss Me – Tresca. Small Wars, by Soappocrates (hilarious). The Different, by Bonibaru. You're the One, by Soppocrates ("Pretty Fly for a White Guy" is also funny, but it's about Clark and thus gets only secondary mention) Also, that Farscape show is pretty good. Right Here Right Now [by Tazey] is a neat FS vid, but frelling huge.
"No-thankyou-I-already-have-too-many-fandoms-have-you-tried-YuGiOh?" [HELLO SOCK MONKEY]
Tried the vid show tonight. I really liked the SV vid set to the Green Acres theme.
Clex... mmmmmm.... [The bunnies are talking...]
"commenting on the Lex-Lionel vid to 'Tainted Love' (um, I can't remember who did it, or where we found it, but it's damn good :) And, as invariably happens when I think about Clex, I wandered off into a lovely mental place involving Lex and chocolate sauce.

"And Luminosity's new Smallville vid, "Learning to Fly""
nigeltde | (no subject)
A Lex-centered Smallville vid to the tune of 'I Can Change'. Yes, from South Park: BLU'. Fucking funny. I love it.

Saw the brilliant Lex vid "I can change." Ah, the giggles. Loved it. Now I 've decided that eveyone must see it. Really. I'm saving the sandy little butthole insult for some special ocassion.

slash_sluts_recs | Vid Rec: Change the World by talitha78
Change the World by talitha78. Smallville. I have been a Clark/Lois shipper since I saw the Superman movie in the 1970's with Chris Reeve and Margot Kidder. It's endured the Lois and Clark tv show and Smallville. It's not new. I love this vid and the moments between Lois and Clark, he's blindness and her growing love for him. My favorite thing about this Lois is she loved Clark first, she may have the hots for The Red Blue Blur, but her heart is set on Clark the guy. When she realizes they are one in the same she's going to latch onto him and good.
slash_sluts_recs | Vid Rec: That's not my name by talitha78
That's not my name by talitha78. Smallville. My love for Smallville still goes strong. I can't wait for the new season to start. I might think Clark is a major dumbass sometimes, but I still love him. This vid shows all the facets of Clark good and bad as we've seen him grow over time. I can't believe how young he looked when he was first on the show. I adore the vid as much as I do Clark.
beck_liz: Wow.
This is a fan-made World's Finest "trailer" featuring Tom Welling as Superman and Christian Bale as Batman. It is awesome. Superbly well-made, and damn if I don't want to see that movie immediately.

My notebook, my quotebook, my look what I wrote book! - Recs for CLex
A vid od silly, funny, goofyness that makes me smile everytime. If Lex was gay and Clark wanted to tell him it was okay, what could that conversation be like? One fans take on it.
All This Wandering Has Led Me to this Place - You all just STOP! And go watch this VID now!
"This vid CANNOT POSSIBLY BE RECCED TOO MANY TIMES!.... [info]talitha78 has just hit supreme vidder of the SV fandom with the sheer brilliance of this vid. It's a Clark Kent character vid and for any of you who EVER loved Smallville - past, present and future, this vid will give you the best look at Clark over the last eight seasons. I left it downloading, went to work - came home and got to watch it and it's currently being added to my ipod and being rewatched over and over again.
It's over here at her LJ and it's called That's Not My Name - if this vid doesn't epitomise the SV Clark Kent then nothing ever will. Forget words, songs - this clip is why I love Clark Kent and why he will always be my most favourite superhero."
Nonsensical ramblings - Vid spam: high in sodium, perservatives and awesome
Short skit, long jacket by talitha78: This vid made me realise that I want to be Lois a woman with a short skit and a long jacket Lois if I grow up. Womanizer by allieqc: Well edited, VERY appropriate song and clean scene changes. I especially like the parts where the vidder made it seem like women were bitchslapping over Ollie. Vindicated by luckybiatch. Clark. The lyrics aren't poetry but there's something so satisfying about singing the quiet, musical, almost ballad-like verses then screaming out the chorus. The vid maintains the original music video's comicbook panel looks which is oh so very fitting. Season 9 promo by ADuarte03: Aside from one spelling/grammar error, this is a damngood fan-made promo. Epic background music is EPIC. Change the world by talitha78: Um. Wow. So this vid basically summarises the reason why I keep watching Smallville despite it's very, very, VERY many faults. Lois/Clark is my favourite. Take me to the clouds above by scoobycookies: I don't usually go for this kind of music but the beat and the bright visuals are terribly attractive. The scene edits are great, too; I love it when the scenes match the lyrics. That fact that is starts with nekkid-in-a-cornfield!Clark is a bonus.
Falling Slowly by piperkent: It's very hard to mess up a vid using this song; most of the time, I forget the visuals and get lost in the song. ;) This blends both very well.
Serenography - PC Blues and Rec
Ooooh... and a rec! netlynn has posted a new Clana vid - that I have yet to be able to watch *kicks PC again*, but knowing her, I'm sure it's wonderful. C'mon... give it a shot... Don't be put off or threatened by the Clana, after all, in terms of SV canon... the virtual fork has been stuck deep into it and it's done! Can't argue that Clana wasn't breathtakingly pretty.
twistedlyn: Four Fan Vids that will make you a Chlarker (if you aren’t one already)
There are thousands of great Chlark fan vids on the internet. I wanted to rec a few, but it’s hard to narrow them down. I decided to pick four that I feel do a spectacular job illustrating the different aspects of the relationship between Clark and Chloe. Also, the editing on all four of these is top notch. If you appreciate artistry you’ll love these vids no matter who you ship.
K's Journal - Are you calling me bird?
This post has a sneaky double purpose. It is the long-owed meta post I promised [info]talitha78 on her masterpiece [info]talitha78's That's Not My Name but it doubles as some pre-season-9 reflections on Smallville and, most importantly, Clark Kent.
the rambling fanatic - SV vid recs by talitha78
Smallville season 9 premiere this Friday. Just doing my part to get the word out. :-) "Velvet Revolution" (Tess Mercer) by talitha78. The bomb of the season is a velvet revolution. "James Bonde" (Kara) by talitha78. Kara Zor-El: Super-cool Kryptonian cousin.
