this is the most joy-inducing, earwormy vid that I've seen in a while: Rock Star, by talitha78 (White Collar, spoilers through 1.1). The plots are...questionable, but the characters hit so many of my buttons that it doesn't matter. Though you can't tell it from this vid alone, I've gone and punched my ticket for the land of OT3.

On the show they tried to make us think that Justin had to run after Brian year after year, didn't they? Oh, that at least was the impression they tried to create in the beginning. But the truth was: Justin is and always has been the little blond satellite Brian circles around. Yes, he really is. :D Extremely schmoopy and loving and adorable stuff. This vid makes you wanna hug them both and squeeze 'em real tight. Only Wendy can make me react that way with a vid. Check it out and enjoy!

Battlestar Galactica: Like My Very Own Blood by jarrow. Adama & Starbuck. There's nothing more frakked up than family. I actually gasped out loud while watching this video. It's incredibly powerful and disturbing and fascinating and original. By the end, my heart was beating so fast. Looks like there are still plenty of new things to say about this show. The Brøken: that brøken day by kiki_miserychic. This video is hypnotizing and unsettling. I couldn't look away. Some really striking overlays & cuts. I felt a little psychotic afterwards. And then, after the [Serenity], I downloaded obsessive24's brilliant, scary-awesome, sort of subversive Mal/River vid "Body," because it's all of those things I said. And then I went on a bit of a spree and discovered she'd also done an SPN s1-4 vid to MGB's "Fall of Man" (embedded in linked entry; Dean and Castiel character stuff and Dean/Castiel, but not romantical-like), and then I watched that, and then I died. It's so good (because it's one of my favourite MGB songs, and because Nicky is stupid talented, and because it's like nine different things I could never put into meta, and because the Ayn Rand bit they quote is one of the reasons I can't completely write off Ayn Rand). SIGH.

BSG folk, you totally need to watch this vid about the frakked up relationship between Bill Adama and Starbuck: Like My Very Own Blood by jarrow. It's FANTASTIC. Creepy and utterly heartbreaking and just... takes the idea that Adama made Starbuck into his second son, his replacement for Zak, to its logical conclusion, including the damage it inflicts on her, him, and Lee. And of course Kara accepts it, clings to it - how does she know any better? *cuddles her* Really well done, and you know how bad I am at getting vids, but this one made total sense to me.

Like My Very Own Blood by jarrow. A BSG vid that focuses on Kara's supposed father-daughter relationship with Adama and on Adama himself. As I said in my comment to jarrow, watching this video was like experiencing a revelation. I'm feeling extremely effected by it and highly recommend the watch.
