Midtone Correction

  • Increase midtone contrast, but leave the shadows and highlights alone. Using BlendIf stuff and a High Pass filter at the end. - twwilliams on 2006-12-03

Flickr: Technique: Pop colors with LAB

  • Compress the a and b channels while in LAB color (and optionally increase constrast in the Lightness channel with an S curve) to get an interesting saturation effect. Can work very well on some pictures -- see the examples in the thread. - twwilliams on 2006-12-03
