Or maybe it is an experiment in scholarly remix, which means something more than sampling, cutting and pasting. Maybe it is a place for conceptual remix. Or maybe it's something that is blurring the lines between an online repository, a scholarly journal and edited volume. More than a blog, less than a large-scale publishing project.

Recursivepublic.net started as a modulation of Two Bits, and is an on-line volume of work, edited by Christopher M. Kelty, with uneven periodicity and hopefully some occasional vibrant discussion. Duke University Press and HASTAC are its patrons.
