JS Online: Teachers take on wiki technology at media conference

  • In an airy conference space at the Milwaukee County Zoo last week, five
    teachers stood huddled around a laptop, trying to figure out how to correct a
    misspelled word on a Web site.

    While teachers learned how to incorporate wikis
    into their classrooms last week at the 2008 Milwaukee Digital Media Conference,
    elementary school participants traversed the Milwaukee County Zoo, taking photos
    of stingrays, flamingos and other wildlife for a digital storybook project.
