Samsung delays launch of Android-based phone | Technology | The Guardian
I really wish AT&T would come out with an Android phone. I don't really want the iPhone, I want something *like* the iPhone with a slide out keyboard.
Five reasons to seriously consider buying a netbook
I have really been enjoying my netbook. Yes it's limited on functionality but it's basically like my running around laptop when I'm working from coffee shops all day. Now they just need to make one that will sync with your regular work laptop. Their has to be something like that out there.

In all fairness to my "demise of Apple" links here's one showing the Apple's dominance of the mobile Web market.
10 Mobile Social Networks to Check Out - ReadWriteWeb

12 New Rules of Working You Should Embrace Today | Zen Habits
The traditional office work environment and tools are still around, but at a very rapid pace, they’re being supplanted by newer and better tools, newer and better ways of working. The old rules are being broken, and new ones are emerging.
You could call this the Workplace of the Future, as not all businesses have adopted these models, and it will be a few years before these new rules are the norm. But for many people (myself included), this is the Workplace of Today — there’s no need to wait for new technologies or tools, because they’re already here.
Blackberry is Not Microsoft (Sorry Apple) - ReadWriteWeb
In all fairness to Microsoft, You can't compare Windows XP or Vista to Windows Mobile. I've been using the BlackJack 2 with Windows Mobiloe 6 and haven't missed by Blackberry once. In fact I've enjoyed the fact that many Mobile 2.0 services like Qik and BrightKite work on my BlackJack while my BlackBerry friends are SOL.

I can't wait for the Open Source hacks of Androitd to make their way out there. How long do you think it will be before theirs an aftermarket Android platform for older Blackberry's? Especially with companies like Verizon *opening* up their networks.
We saw how eagerly people hacked the iPhone. And with all the old smart phones on the market I think we'll see Android do to smart phones what Ubuntu's been doing to PC's.

462 Million Mobile TV Subscribers By 2012: Report | mocoNews.net

I still remember back a few years ago when nay-sayers said no one would want to watch video on a 3x5 inch screen. Of course those screens are getting bigger thanks to Apple.
462 Million people by 2012. The implications to that are still rattling around in my brain. Maybe a blog post with some futuristic predictions will emerge.

Some people say that the bubble's going to take a downturn in the next year or two - that huge numbers of copycat startups are going to shut down, people are going to be out of work and Web 2.0 cheerleaders are going to eat their (our) words.
While startup churn is inevitable in any industry (thank goodness we're not restaurant founders!) I think this forecast is selling the future short. There are some big trends I'm really excited about for the web in 2008. Whatever happens to the economy, there's at least a whole lot of innovation to be inspired by right now. Ultimately, I think that will end up brightening the picture for all of us around the world.
