No thanks Google, we've got Ubuntu: Insight - Software - ZDNet Australia
Interesting to see Google met with the same skepticism as Microsoft from the open source community, even though Chrome OS is open source itself.

Who are you going to trust and believe in? The non-commercial Ubuntu Foundation (and wider project), which has developed an open-source operating system second to none and virtually ended the Linux distribution wars? Or Google, which also makes free products (well, mostly) and packages advertising in (sometimes)?

How to Install Adobe AIR on Ubuntu
I love TweetDeck and am excited to try and get AIR running on my Ubunutu machine. It's really the only thing I haven't found a good substitute for on Linux. Many thanks, that sorted out the problem for me too :)
I've seen other people say that it doesn't work for them. They might need to restart firefox or disable googe toolbar and then re-enable it (with restarts).vhofOctober 22nd, 2007, 12:10 AMHmm.. Didn't solve for me.
BUT, I rebooted - don't know if it was needed, because it didn't help.
Then I went to toolbar.google.com and installed the toolbar again (didn't remove the previous one).
Now it works.
