"Babbage and not Byron should have been her father" - Google Books
Why is this book only in snippet view? Anyways, the interlocutor here is none other than Tennyson, who had of course his own encounter with the mathematical side of Babbage.
I would LOVE to see Lady Byron's face if this witticism was attempted on her.
