Rumor: Verizon iPhone to have large screen, new processor:

- This rumor I don't believe at allE Why should Apple release a totally different iPhone? Why?

  • These forthcoming MIDs, and some incredible longer-term plans our customers are  sharing with us, will show how small devices can deliver a big Internet  experience
  • The Diamondville-based N270 will run at 1.6GHz using a 533MHz FSB. This  is the chip that will find a home in the previously mentioned nettops.

  • Intel announced  today that they are officially branding their upcoming ultra-mobile processor  family as 'Atom'. Formerly known as Silverthorne, the new family of low-power  processors are specifically designed for mobile internet devices (MIDs).

  • Intel has officially dubbed the Silverthorn and Diamondville chips "Atom,"  and the Menlow platform has become the "Centrino Atom."
  • Obviously, the 45nm Atom chips, and Centrino Atom technology will be targeted  for MIDs, UMPCs
