- This is a great 2 pages long article about the future of the Internet. A really interesting read.
Glad to see that more people are using the excellent Safari browser.
It is actually faster than Chrome. At least on Mac. I know that Safari is not so good on Windows though.

No. Definitely not.
Chrome will be bigger. In fact, even my favirite Safari will be used more and more too because Apple sells more computers than ever. Safari is really good and fast on Mac.

Same thing happened when Apple released the iPhone 3GS in Sweden :)
We had tethering as an option while the US don't :)
I hope it will be the same now!

Now it is as fast as my favorite web browser: Safari on Mac.
Safari is tightly integrated to OS X and has the extensions I need so it is much better to use on Mac.

The Web Is Dead. Long Live the Internet:
- A very interesting read. And all that have modern devices like the iPhone or iPad, knows that a lot of this is true.
For me it's totally true. I prefer Native Apps on my iPhone.
Heck, there is no Twitter dekstop app that comes near all the good twitter apps I have on my iPhone! None!
I prefer to read and tweet on my iPhone instead of on my desktop computer because the apps is so much better and has so much more features.
Read this article. It's great.

Microsoft to launch IE9 beta on Sept. 15:
- the problem with this is that I believe that Microsoft will take back some of Chrome and Firefox users with this release... Sadly though.
The reason why is that Internet Explorer 9 uses a hardware graphics accelerator that will make this browser really fast.

Yes, I think the semantic web is important (see the W3c specs) and inherently part of the future of the web, but I think there is one overarching evolution happening right now under our feet that is inexorably enmeshed with the semantic web.

The Internet Explorer is using so called index.dat files to store information even though the information contained in those files are hardly needed. The auto complete feature is using the index.dat file of visited websites.
-
When you first start the Index.dat Suite you are asked to perform a scan of your system for index.dat files. You can speed up the process if you filter the scan by drive.
