Artist Statement
Architecture, landscapes and people are my main subjects of interest. This desire for Street Photography was born at the Duesseldorf School of Photography. I have maintained many but by no means all principles of this school of thought.
As a photographic artist I am in search of new exciting images which often appear spontaneously and unexpectedly during my extensive travels. My pictures rarely show a complete situation, it is the individual, sometimes small aspects or details that capture my attention. By isolating particular subjects from their overall context, a new dynamic
dialog is created not only between the images themselves but also between the images and the viewer.
My work is shown in two classic mediums, initially in a book form which then regularly works as a blueprint for exhibitions.
Flemish institute for visual, audiovisual and media art - BAM
BAM is the Flemish institute for visual, audiovisual and media art. It functions as an independent organisation that provides information, and encourages development and networking - both within the visual arts fields and crossing boundaries into other disciplines.
BAM encourages collaboration and exchange between Flemish organisations and institutions abroad and tries to increase the interest in and knowledge of the Flemish art scene abroad through an international communication and by organising a visitors programme for foreign art professionals.
BAM is funded by the Flemish Community and is based in Ghent, Belgium. For more information on the arts scene in Belgium's French-speaking community (Wallonia and Brussels), you can contact SAP (Plastic Arts Department of the French-speaking Community of Belgium), and the DGLive website has information on the cultural policy of Belgium's German-speaking community.
CEPIC
CEPIC is a European Economic Interest Group (E.E.I.G) not for profit representing the interests of picture associations, agencies and libraries in Europe, in total 1.053 picture agencies and libraries in Europe, from the smallest to the largest, the sole trader and the global company, covering all aspects of photography, news, stock, heritage. CEPIC organises each year an Agent Congress, enabling agents from all over the world to meet.
ROMKA magazine
ROMKA is a magazine for photography and features international
amateurs, students and professionals.
The idea behind it is to create a showcase for pictures that are not
necessarily a representative excerpt of your work, but your most favorite
pictures. These could of course be part of your portfolio, but also private
pictures of your friends and family, snapshots, those that make you laugh
or cry or the ones you can't even remember taking.
This is not about self-portrayal, not about technical perfection or
fancy topics. This is not about style.
Ace Gallery
Founded in 1961 by the Gallery's current director Douglas Chrismas,
ACE GALLERY has a history of installing ambitious museum quality exhibitions.
The Gallery's exhibition program balances a selection of emerging and mid-career
artists with artists who have become fully established over the last forty years.

V1 Gallery was founded in 2002 by Jesper Elg and Peter Funch. In 2004 Mikkel Grønnebæk joined the gallery. Seeing art as a profound and competent media for social and political engagement, the gallery has a desire to challenge both the viewers, the norms and itself and aspires to create a space with no limitations other than quality and nerve. The artists represented by V1 gallery work in a variety of media.
NANIWA
Together with Hisako Nakagawa we invited photographers, artists, friends in Germany, Japan, Canada, Romania, from South America, Turkey, the Baltic Countries, the Netherlands, South Korea to take part, to post pictures to the blog.
