This project concerns the use of Web 2.0 technologies by young people in Key
Stages 3 and 4 of the UK school curriculum. It is funded over 10 months by Becta
    – the UK government agency with special responsibility for policy and practice
involving educational technology. "Web 2.0" is a set of internet activities and
tools that are broadly concerned with encouraging communication and
participation among internet users. Among many young people there is a growing
invovlement with so-called "social networking" and the related uploading of
creative material. Consequently, there is a much interest in how such informal,
out-of-school activity can be relevant and inspiring, when compared to the more
    familiar in-school curriculum.
