Created by student-teachers preparing for licensure in Virginia, these web quests and web units are designed to encourage students to think critically and learn to use resources wisely. There are projects for all grade levels and for language arts, social studies, math and science.

a kid-friendly web browser for OS X and Windows; it is also available as a Firefox add-on, making it compatible across all platforms. KidZui has a lot of strengths that make it very appealing for parents or elementary classroom computers. Although it does support a range of ages, this browser is very much directed at the primary set.

Applications for Education
The Learner.org map-based lessons and interactive map are probably best suited to use in an middle school setting or as a review of the basics for high school students. The map-based lessons do require students to do a fair amount of reading.
