"Looks like a typical image right? What if I said there was a pop song encoded within the pixels of the image (not in any meta-comment field, but the actual pixels)? All 3 minutes, 32.7 seconds of the pop song too; original, not a MIDI file!

"Proof!", you scoff? Let's hope this isn't snake oil: "

"You tie your shoes, put on your headphones, take your first steps outside. You’ve barely covered 100 yards when you hear them. They must be close. You can hear every guttural breath, every rattling groan - they’re everywhere. Zombies. There’s only one thing you can do: Run!"

"How do you make bread even better? You stuff it with pepperoni and cheese. Then, you bake it in a bundt pan that allows you to pull off little chunks and dip them in pizza sauce. This is the perfect thing to bring to a party (and I did, where it disappeared quickly!) or to eat during a football game. Or, make it for dinner and serve with a salad. It's basically pizza, heavy on the crust...right?!"

I did it for fun and revenge and it turned out to be the best idea ever. I don't care about them. They don't care about cluttered layout. Maybe they will visit my website with a proper browser and notice the difference and switch. It's perfect.

For obsessive chopping + dicing!  If you are one of those folks for whom things must be “just so”, then this cutting board is for you!

Our OCD Chef Cutting Board, a 9" x 12" cutting board made of strong, long-wearing beechwood, spells out the most precise measurements in exacting detail. So, don’t worry...it’s OK to go a little overboard.

And if you want to wash it twenty times after you use it, we won’t tell.

These are the original instructions from a 1962 magazine ad for Aunt Jemima pancake mix:

"Just about the best breakfast that ever greeted a hungry family! And it's as easy as this: Shake up Aunt Jemima batter according to package directions. Place cooked bacon strips on the griddle and pour batter over each strip. Bake 'em golden brown on both sides. Couldn't be easier - couldn't taste better! How about Aunt Jemima Bacon Strip Pancakes at your house tomorrow!"

There's a reason I don't bake much cake, that being I end up eating half of it myself. On the couch. Watching TV. At midnight. So, it's a danger zone for me. I don't even go there. Instead, when the urge for something sweet, chocolatey and warm comes along, I make mug cakes.

Cake that's microwaved in a coffee mug - it just takes 3-5 minutes (depends on the size of your mug) and gives me a single-serving indulgence that won't ruin my diet. Plus, they are fun to make!

If you have any experience doing system builds, then you know that your focus is on getting the best CPU/motherboard/RAM/graphics card you can for your budget. Things like the hard drive, display, and other peripherals are still important, but secondary to those core components.

One investment you must also make is in a case to house your rig. While we all want a nice case, it is effectively a box that sits on or under your desk only to be touched on that rare occasion of upgrading the machine or messing with the room layout. As long as it provides good ventilation and acts as a dust blocker for the components inside, it’s doing a good enough job. But we still have to pay for a case with the price escalating depending on how nice you want it to look, how big it is, and how much modularity you want from the fittings inside.

Asus wants to save you some money by removing the need to purchase a case when you buy one of its motherboards. The manufacturer aims to do this by allowing for the motherboard packaging to be re-used as a PC case. Not only does that save you some money, it’s also stopping the cardboard packaging going to waste once you unwrap the board.

Happy Friday!

Now, I’d consider myself a pretty big nutella lover. There was a time in college when my roommate and I would sit and watch Lifetime movies with a jar of nutella between us and a box of graham crackers on my lap. That was fun.

I also have enjoyed more than a few nutella crepes in my day. In my mind, there’s really not much better than a warm crepe filled with oozing nutella and maybe a few banana slices.

But nutella hot chocolate?

How I have lived on this earth for almost twenty six years without trying such a thing? How have I dared to call myself a true nutella lover without trying this simple heavenly creation?

Today, most of the soap we use is liquid soap, which contains a lot of water. Block soap instead is more concentrated and therefore has some ecological benefits: You don’t transport unnecessary water around. In place of plastic bottles you can simply use paper for packaging. The solid blocks can easily be piled and allow a greater space efficiency in a truck.

But what about the usage of soap bars? I don’t like the weird slippery feeling when I use them. It gives me goose bumps. And under the shower, it always slides out of your fingers. Hand soap also often gets dirty and accumulates bacteria when more than one person is using it.

I designed two dispensers that turn block soap into beautiful little flakes. They offer you a new comfortable sensation when they are falling on your hands and easily dissolve in water.

Ok, so I’ve seen a lot of amazingly cute panda things, but this literally made me giddy when I saw it. I’ve never seen anything like it and I really want to try out the recipe. The original recipe is from an Asian website called Taro Taro (which features a photo gallery of user submitted panda bread!), luckily for those of us who can’t read the site, wlteef.blogspot.com was kind enough to post a translation. The recipe is after the cut!
