I have to use paper. I've tried the various software hacks recommended here, and I'm using GTD, but to make it work, I have to have a paper list in front of me. If I tuck it into a desk drawer, it might as well not be there. If I stick it into the computer, it's gone.
Lately, I've modified the GTD system with Dave Seah's "Portable CEO" forms. He offers a modifiable version of his Concrete Goals Tracker PDF that I've customized in my own way. A glance at the form helps me refocus.
