Independent Curriculum Group | Conferences
This is a really interesting group of independent school educators. They "broke out" a few years ago by opting out of the AP curriculum in at least some subjects. Now they are holding some one day meetings. From the site: "Our students are doing more “real” work: initiating and managing projects, creating rather than consuming, taking their work into the larger community, and connecting their learning to durable interests"
THINK Global School - We are a global, university-preparatory school. We are mobile, worldwide, and like no other school on the planet.
Wow--this is different. A school that is truly global and mobile. Clarity of vision for sure.

A small group of teachers and/or administrators gather in a circle - eight to twelve is a good number. One of the teachers (the presenter) has brought samples of his or her students' work to present.
Looking at Student Work
About looking at student work with the school's mission in mind to see the alignment of core values and actual student output. I think this could be valuable.
