    If you've ever worked with multiple copies of a document that have been reviewed or modified by different people (or worse yet, you had to merge those document copies into a single document), you already know that working with different versions of the same document is a challenge. Even if you position the documents next to one another on your screen, it can be difficult keeping track of where you are in each document.

  • But there are some security problems under windows...


    Since the fbserver processing is running as a service under the LocalSystem (SYSTEM) account it cannot make a connection through to the network share as it fails with username/password error. Changing the firebird service to run as a different user and giving that user r/w permissions for the remote share - and it all works nicely.


    But I am thinking that a another possible solution would be to allow the username/password to be embedded into the share name e.g. user:password@\\server\share\shadowfile and the server can make the connection to the share using the provided credentials.


    It has been many years since I have used nfs so unsure if it will suffer a similar problem (but I kind of doubt it)

Embarcadero Discussion Forums: "memory could not be read" ...

  • hi

    when exiting my application (not often but it does happen) im getting the above error. im using madexcept tool but it doesnt seem to catch it. i also read a post on the net that eurekalog didnt catch this problem as well.



    not sure what can cause it so for now all i can add is that im using threads in my application, if it is relevant in any way. if u need more info from me, please let me know what kind of info is needed. if this forum is not relevant to the problem and there is a better one i should post this question on, please let me know.

    aee, problema Resolvido!!    ! Primeiro eu segui a opiniao do tiagosty de criar nova conta e deletar, mas nao deu certo, entao eu decidi fucar em tudo! ai eu fui em painel de controles, sistemas, avancado, configuracoes de desempenho, prevencao de execucao de dados. Eu nem sabia pra qe servia isso, ai decidi fucar pra ve se arrumava, tava marcado em: ativar a dep para todos os programas e serviços, ai mudei para ativar a dep so para programas e serviços essenciais do windows. resetei e deu certo!!! to feliz demais uaeHUAEHUAEH


    eu vo faze um rotero com     todas as possibilidades para resolver esse problema com base no qe li nos foruns, pois cada caso eh um caso, pelo oq li. O mesmo erro tem varios motivos, eh **** d+
