How to Control Your Anger on the Golf Course
When you are really into your golf, you care about what happens to the ball, and that ball doesn't always do what you want. It's all too easy to get angry but nobody else wants to see that and it's not good for you either. With hypnosis downloads you can retrain your mind to stop getting angry on the golf course.
Motivational profiling in a sports environment | iStadia - Where Sport & Exercise People Meet
ndividuals’ motivations can directly influence their performance; this is especially true in the sporting world. Reversal Theory’s “Eight Motivational States” provide the foundation for the AMSP, which; “provides a great way to help athletes and coaches understand themselves and use that knowledge to achieve their best performance under pressure.” – Phil Moore, Sports Psychologist.
Golf: Reflecting on the Masters, why didn't Kenny Perry win? | iStadia - Where Sport & Exercise People Meet
So Kenny Perry is walking off the 16th green with a birdie having hung in all day (just) after a nervy start during that final round. Has he looked at the scoreboard up till now? Perhaps, most pros do, but sure as eggs are eggs I bet he looked as he walked off that green.

Manchester United's March Madness!
A week ago (as I write this) Manchester United looked imperious and unassailable at the top of the Premier League. Two straight defeats and the story is quite different. While they still hold a lead in the Premier League, a Liverpool win tomorrow would cut that back to one point. The real story is not arithmetical, however, but psychological. Liverpool, on the back of convincing wins against Man United and Real Madrid, will take fresh confidence from their rivals' defeat at Fulham today, and revitalise their belief that they can still win the title. Chelsea, having lost to Tottenham today, failed to capitalise on their opportunity to close the gap.
Reversal Theory and Sports
Reversal theory is one of the few psychological theories of motivation or personality that takes sport really seriously and makes it a central topic. (When did Freud or Jung ever write about soccer, or Skinner go beyond teaching pigeons to play ping pong?)
Putt With Your Brain - Part 1
If Mark Twain thinks golf is "a good walk spoiled", then putting must be a brief pause to make you reconsider ever walking again. With about 50% of our score being determined on the green, we are constantly in search of the "secret" to getting the little white ball to disappear into the cup.Lucky for us, there is no shortage of really smart people also looking for the answer. The first 8 months of 2008 have been no exception, with a golf cart full of research papers on just the topic of putting.

Parental involvement in competitive youth settings
“Keep going son” is a phrase that is shouted many times when parents want to support their children on the side of a football pitch. Nowadays, parents are highly involved and visible in youth football. With sports such as football providing a public arena for parents to provide immediate and specific feedback to their children, it is important for coaches to understand parents’ involvement in competitive youth sport settings
