Absolutely!
Look the futures / fair value ratio, very negative values can give you early warnings of an impendig correction, even before the market opens.
Once the market opens, futures basically follow the stock/index trend.
You dont need a suscription to follow futures/fair value, it's freely available in the internet.

i have been doing what you are doing for going on 13 years. i ramped up slower than you (first year 10k profit...then slowly up), evolving constantly.
what i do now is all spreads(future options), then ratio's (ie:legging in longs when cheap enough imo to protect all shorts while maintaining sufficient credits. you can learn from some of the following people:
i owe major shout outs to optioncoach, mainly for the emphasis on management. to successfully option trade you must alway's be adjusting , protecting, etc. get your credits, then protect your account and your credits. it is work, and kinda artistic.
another one to watch is atticus. he will advise and help even with his own fund to run taking up his time. very rarely will you ever have access to knowledge like his.
segv and rallymode are some others who i have gained much from.
use the search function to study their posts, just don't make a pain in the ass of yourself; because they will blame me! i still look to picking their brains....
for me, option trading works,and provides a great income, just gotta work hard.

Four Guiding Principles of Market Behavior
-
Each e-mini has it's advantages and disadvantages. And each trading system will react differently. Start with the main ones:
ES - S&P
NQ - Nasdaq
ER2 - Russell
YM - Dow
EC - Euro

10. Factors which affect bond prices
-
Rising inflation is damaging to bond prices, because, unless the bonds are index-linked, the income they generate will fail to maintain its buying power.

Add another shorter emva, delete the rsi,study some basic candlestickpatterns so that once a move is underway you have an idea as to when it is starting to top.use breakout of bollingerbands when they have been running horizontally paralell for a while,a good entry signal is when they start to narrow after running = for a while,the longer the better,watch for the false break ,put your initial stop on the otherside of the opposite bollinger band, use a double stop because if you`re wrong you want to get in immediately again in the correct direction.trade at the correct time and experiment with different time frames eg 15,30 and1 hour charts,keep an eye on the trend and determine the rhythm of the currency and use that as support and resistance using the open of the relevant market as your starting point,eg 8am est for America or 7pm est for Tokyo or 3am est for Europe

All markets are the same. I use the same system on stocks as I do on futures and I do on FOREX.
If you are a new trader, I reccomend a backtested and profitable MECHANICAL system.
If you don't have any I will gladly post you one of mine, all I ask is that you don't hand it out to anyone.
The first thing that I suggest is to have a good moneymanagement plan.
MONEY MANAGEMENT
===============
Always stick within your 2% limit. If you make a loosing trade then scale down to 1% until you get a winner. Why?
Assume that at some point you are going to have 14 loosers in a row, and at another point 14 winners in a row. By scaling your risk down you will reduce your overall loss if/when this does happen.
RISK
===
You will just have to accept that sometimes there are trades that you will just not be able to take. I trade FOREX EOD and there are still some trades that I can't take on the EUR.
CONSISTENCY
==========
Once you have a mechanical system, stick with it through the drawdowns and upswings. I traded the GBP for 2 years (amongst other currencies) witout making a cent, but I stick with the system and eventually when the trends started, I was riding them.
ENTRY
====
Find a low risk entry. I preferr trend following techniques, however announcement trading and market opens can also be profitable. A low risk entry? Try a hook reversal such as in van Tharps book. Make it mechanical and backtest it on EUR and JPY. Once you have made it profitable, try it on the GBP AUD and CHF to see if you have over optimized it. If not then trade it DEMO for 2 months with trading records and well as a diary.
EXIT
===
A combination of these exits is usually profitable.
ATR exit
ema exit
Chandlier exit
Exposure/bubble exit
I use all of them, however sometimes I exclude the ema. I always test my system exits by removing each exit individually and seeing if the system performs better without it.
MAXIMUM LOSS STOP
===============
This is the maximum that you are prepared to loose. For stocks and FOREX and futures this is 40% for me. At this point I revise and retest my systems, particularly the exits.
Many people say "yeah 2%, whatever" then you ask them later on and they have lost a lot of their capital. I beleive that the goal of a trader is to preserve their capital, once you do this, the gains will come by themselves. - 1 more annotation(s)...
