"The company has a commitment to be the 'lowest cost per watt' PV cells in the industry. Suntech will be supplying solar power to Beijing's Bird Nest Stadium for the 2008 Summer Olympics.

在盖洛韦看来，Belgacom、KPN、Telekom Austria、和希腊的Hellenic Telecommunications Organization(OTE)等中型企业有可能成为被收购对象。
不过在一些投资银行家看来，新兴市场企业赴欧洲开展收购大多不过是瞎起哄。欧洲的电信资产大多都已价格昂贵，收购欧洲企业会拖公司业务增长的后腿，减弱它们在增长更快市场上的投资力度。

新兴市场企业还会在语言、文化以及政治方面面临困难，特别是不少国家的政府往往将电信网络视为该国重要的基础设施之一。
