If Windows XP will start:

* Log on to Windows as an Administrator.
* Click Start, point to All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore.
* On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and click Next.
* Or type or paste the following command in the Start - Run box then press Enter.

This command can be used at the Safe Mode Command Prompt also.

1. Go to Control Panel | Scheduled Tasks.
2. Double-click Add Scheduled Task to launch the Scheduled Task Wizard.
3. Click Next and then click the Browse button.
4. Access the Windows\System32 folder, select Shutdown.exe, and click Open.
5. Follow the wizard through the next two screens to give the task a name and choose a schedule.
6. Enter your user account name and password and click Next.
7. Select the Open Advanced Properties check box and click Finish.
8. In the task’s Properties dialog box, add the /r parameter to the end of the command line in the Run text box and click OK. (Be sure to include a space between the last character in the command name and the first character in the parameter list.)
9. Enter your user account name and password and click OK.

1. Download the Microsoft Management Console 3.0 for Windows XP from the Microsoft Download Center.
2. Locate and run the WindowsXP-KB907265-x86-ENU.exe executable file to launch the MMC 3.0 installation wizard.
3. Once the installation is complete, launch the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
4. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MMC.
5. Right-click the MMC subkey and select New | Key.
6. Name the key UseNewUI and press [Enter].
7. Close the Registry Editor.

6. Name the string value NoStartPage.

Zoho Will Help Backup All Your Google Docs Documents Locally

    2. Login to Zoho Writer using your existing Google Account credentials and import the zip file created in step 1.


    3. Use the Mass Export function of Zoho writer to save these documents as .doc files on to your hard drive or anywhere else.

  • Fsutil is a command-line utility that you can use to perform many FAT and NTFS file system related tasks, such as managing reparse points, managing sparse files, dismounting a volume, or extending a volume. Because fsutil is quite powerful, it should only be used by advanced users who have a thorough knowledge of Windows XP.     As default Ubuntu has no password set for the root user. To gain root access you have to type in your own user password. This is the password you set for the first user while installing Ubuntu.


    To manually set a password for the root user, type in the following in the shell:

    sudo passwd


    After that you are asked to type in the new root password twice. Finally, your root user has its own password.
