Storing data locally in AIR : Mihai CORLAN
An article on how to store local data with Adobe AIR.
-
With AIR you can save any ActionScript object to a file. You can save anything from simple objects to arrays of value objects. However there is a catch: when the object you stored has a type (let’s say for example VOPerson), then when you retrieve it is safe to cast to the original type. But if you save an ArrayCollection of VOPerson, then when you retrieve them you will have an ArrayCollection of Objects. More on this here.
