Viz Lab Image Collection | NISE Network
Welcome to the Viz Lab Image Collection. Images from scientific research, such as micrographs, are an important element in exhibits and programs about the nanoscale. Such images, generated by scientists, give visitors a sense of what the nanoscale looks like with little artistic interpretation. These images are free for use under a Creative Commons license and have been checked for scientific accuracy. To learn more about how visitors interpret nanoscale images, see our accompanying front-end evaluation, Visitors' Interpretation of Nanoscale Images.
Nanotechnology Consumer Products Inventory
Consumer Products
An inventory of nanotechnology-based consumer products currently on the market.
After more than twenty years of basic and applied research, nanotechnologies are gaining in commercial use. Nanoscale materials now are in electronic, cosmetics, automotive and medical products. But it has been difficult to find out how many “nano” consumer products are on the market and which merchandise could be called “nano.”
While not comprehensive, this inventory gives the public the best available look at the 1,000+ manufacturer-identified nanotechnology-based consumer products currently on the market.

ChemEd DL Collection: What's This?
Like many of us, chemists are curious about some of the things they see. However, a chemist is less likely to go off with a shrug. Chemists are likely to want to understand and explain the things they see. This collection of interesting images uses video in an attempt to give you a chemist's explanation of what is occurring.
