Fotopedia: An Online Encyclopedia for Photos - mashable.com
When we think of online photo sharing, we typically think of sites like Flickr and Picasa where photos are hosted and organized by users. Though these sites definitely serve a purpose in helping us host and share our photos, they don’t do a great job at collectively organizing and displaying photos by content type or subject matter.
Fotopedia, a photo encyclopedia site that launches to the public today, hopes to become the Wikipedia for photos by centralizing the photo experience around user-created topics and subject matters. The sleek web interface is coupled with a desktop application for a community experience on site or off.

OER Commons
Open Educational Resources are all about sharing.
In a brave new world of learning, OER content is made free to use or share, and in some cases, to change and share again, made possible through licensing, so that both teachers and learners can share what they know.
Browse and search OER Commons to find curriculum, and tag, rate, and review it for others.
Use the Tutorials as a guide. Join and contribute to the global Open Education community.
ZaidLearn: University Learning = OCW + OER = FREE!
ZaidLearn is back from another non-blogging vacation (Who cares!)! Excellent point! Anyway, before I get back to my wacky 5-part learning series (in 2 weeks time!), I need to settle something urgently, and that is to compile and organize all my University learning related OpenCourseWare (OCW) and Open Educational Resources (OER) links that are scattered here and there, into one smashing post. In short, this post is about smashing all free University learning related OCW and OER resources and collections discovered into an all-in-one (sounds like shampoo!) quick-to-access/find juicy compilation. Hopefully, it will satisfy my thirst for quick access to free University learning related content.
Interestingly, this post will be a dynamic one, meaning that I will continue to update (and revamp!) it as I discover, or others share ideas and recommend new oceans of free knowledge.
Google's Matt Cutts Has Some Words with Bing | WebProNews
Everybody's talking about Bing today since the Microsoft's new search engine became unexpectedly available on a widescale. That includes Google, and more specifically Matt Cutts.
An interesting conversation took place on Twitter today between Cutts and Betsy of the Bing account. Cutts was apparently doing a little ego searching on Bing and does not appear entirely impressed with the results. SEO Services Group has transcribed the conversation
Bing is live. I already know I’ll be sticking with Google. - The Next Web
After admittedly only trying the new Microsoft search engine for 20 minutes, there really is no question in my mind that whilst Bing may have it’s 15 minutes of fame, the majority of users will unquestionably remain with Google - as will I.
Bing Opens Up. Is It Good? It's Too Early To Tell.
Bing, Microsoft's latest effort to beat Google at what it does best - search - is now live for everyone. It's bearing the ubiquitous "beta" tag, and contrary to what many expected from Microsoft, the search is decent. But it's also strangely familiar. Is it decent enough to compete with Google? Read on.
