Via http://bit.ly/3k525e (SheenOnline). This is basically a desktop notification system that can connect with various other pieces of software, like IM, Email, and so forth; in the blog post linked here, Rasheen Porter explains how he uses this to keep track of tasks with Remember the Milk and events with Google Calendar.

"Hi, I'm __ and I am a wilfer" -- aimless websurfing and its effect on your life

"Wilfer" stands for (roughly) "What Was I Looking For" and refers to the habit of getting distracted and lost online when you actually meant to find something specific. I do this constantly.

Manage email, calendar, and contacts with your voice

For $6 a month, subscribe to a service that can access your POP3 email, read it to you over the phone, and allow you to dictate replies. Very cool. Also lets you manage contacts and calendar, though I'm not yet sure I get how that part works.

Quick-and-dirty schedule maker

Kind of handy. Enter some scheduling information, and the script will generate a simple HTML table that charts your schedule visually. You can cut-and-paste the result or whatever. Very quick and simple.

Zoho Notebook is out: free, in-browser do-it-all personal content manager

I've been waiting for the launch. The demo video makes the application look mind-bogglingly powerful. My experience with Zoho is that their programs are well thought-out, extremely functional and fast, but sometimes a little buggy. And the English isn't p

Writer: in-browser word processing, no distractions

Didn't clip well -- you have to see the actual layout of the screen for the idea to make sense. It's a simple wordprocessor using light-colored text on a black background, with feature buttons that fade to near-invisibility when you're typing to minimize

Mobile personal "knowledge base": MyGADs

Looks like a potentially very useful service. You enter a bunch of "statements" into a database (e.g., so-and-so's birthday; the UPC number of the ink your printer uses) and then you can use SMS, IM or the web to retrieve it with natural-language queries.
