MyCast your digital media with Orb 2.0 remote pc access software
When you install this software on your home computer, supposedly, it makes all your saved or stored media (photos, videos, music, both local and online) accessible via a single URL. I don't get how it works, but it sounds like it could be handy someday. And it's free.

Gloucester Lawyer Defends Satirical Glenn Beck Website - Bostonist
This seems a little far-fetched for a possible blog post, but the issue is authenticity. Who owns the name "Glenn Beck"? What counts as satire as opposed to defamation? What sorts of rhetorical gestures are acceptable in what contexts? In other words, if you make the suggestion that Glenn Beck committed a horrible crime, but couch that suggestion in a form of sarcasm easily recognizable to anyone familiar with cyberculture, have you sufficiently protected yourself against the charge of defamation?

The AIM FishBot Phenomenon
I just got an IM from "AlmostACoho" with a random question. Turns out this is a bot run by Project Upstream (http://project-upstream.awardspace.com/), which collects AIM screennames and connects them via bots with fish in their names. In other words, you and someone else will each simultaneously get an IM from one of these bots, and then when you respond, your response will be forwarded on to the other party and posted under the name of the bot. So if I had responded to AlmostACoho, some other poor sap on the other end would have received my response, but it would look as if it came from some other kind of coho, trout, or salmon, such as WoolenCoho or BisexualTrout or something. And if they had responded back, I'd have gotten their response posted from AlmostACoho.
