Livestream - Broadcast LIVE streaming video
This site offers a downloadable client which allows you to stream your desktop or your webcam, or to blend the two into a single video frame in a number of different ways. It also integrates with Twitter. Seems handy. The free plan looks pretty powerful.
Gazup! Uploads your files to multiple file hosts - Gazup!
No size limits on uploaded files (I think), other than those imposed by the hosts you choose to use.
Upload Mirrors -Easy file upload to multiple free file hosts
No file size limit (I think).
MyCast your digital media with Orb 2.0 remote pc access software
When you install this software on your home computer, supposedly, it makes all your saved or stored media (photos, videos, music, both local and online) accessible via a single URL. I don't get how it works, but it sounds like it could be handy someday. And it's free.
Twollo: Twitter Auto-follow
Find and auto-follow Twitter users based on interests (i.e., keywords you supply). The free account has some limitations.
TuneAround (free downloadable music studio software for non-musicians)
Anyone tried this? It looks kind of cool.
WhatPulse | Taking pulsing into another generation
Tracks mouseclicks and keypresses and tells you how much activity you've got in each application. I think. Runs on a keyhook.
Convert PDF, HTML, DOC, TIFF and more
This is actually a freeware converter suite which can be combined with an OCR module, so that you can extract images from text. As far as I can tell, it's all free. You have to look at an ad for the company unless you pay for a license. I have no idea how reliable this is -- I've never seen any reviews, pro or con.
Grunge Textures - Free Stock Photos, Textures and Backgrounds
Lots of nice, free, grungy textures.
Gyom Séguin (font designer at dafont.com)
I love this guy's work. He designed Bleeding Cowboys, Ambulance Shotgun, Steak, and many others made famous by Picnik.com. His site is http://www.lastsoundtrack.com . Many of his fonts are available free for personal use.
Affixa - Attachments Made Easy - Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail
An attachment manager that also helps make webmail easier to use, supposedly. Integrates with drop.io and recommended at their site.
Tagle | Find, Organize, Share
Bills itself as a desktop tool for managing accounts with a wide range of services, like Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Delicious, Drop.io, Box.net and Picasa.
Ring2Skype - Free SkypeIn Service- Have your number around the world for free
This is free. I haven't figured out what the catch is. You can sign up for a number in one of five or six area codes, and you'll get a regular ten-digit phone number with a three-digit extension. When someone dials this number, it'll be forwarded to your Skype account. UPDATE: It's a very cool idea, but I just tried it, dialed my shiny new number, and got silence.
AudioPal | Home (record and embed short audio clips)
Record an audio message by phone, then embed it in your site with a small Flash widget. Free.
