A virtualization tool. I have to confess that I'm not sure what this does, but for someone like me who likes to try out new applications and then uninstall them, this might be useful. Free for personal use. Seen in Carols Ayala's Friendfeed stream.

This is basically a desktop notification system that can connect with various other pieces of software, like IM, Email, and so forth; in the blog post linked here, Rasheen Porter explains how he uses this to keep track of tasks with Remember the Milk and events with Google Calendar.

Anyone know anything about this service? It looks pretty attractive. Includes: PHP, mySQL, three databases, FTP access. Presumably you get what you pay for though.

Looks like it might be a cool little piece of software. Subscribe to multimedia RSS feeds and keep a constant stream of thumbnails flowing across one edge of your desktop while you work. Not for ADD types like me. Anyone tried this?
