Any method that sets $REMOTE_USER in the server environment is allowed (Basic Authentication, mod_auth_foo, Cosign, ...).

デモページを試した限りでは、Claimed IdentifierではなくVerified IdentifierがREMOTE_USERとして扱われるようです。

日本航空(JAL)は、５月２９日、約2000万人に上るJAL Millage Bank (JMB)会員向けに、OpenIDのサービス提供を開始した。まず、提携している旅行手配大手のミキ・ツーリストとの間でサービスを開始。ネット系以外でのOpenIDの採用は初めてで、今後、提携先を増やしてゆくとしている。
