(CBS) <!-- longtext start-->Most of the candidates Sarah Palin endorsed chalked up victories Tuesday.
And that scorecard leaves pundits wondering whether she'll now train her sights directly on the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.
As CBS News Correspondent Jeff Glor reports, .the former GOP vice presidential nominee backed 43 candidates for the House. Thirty of them won, with races involving nine others still undecided.
I'm sure this makes a lot of Palin-haters squirm. But it turns out Levi Johnston is sorry for everything he said about Mrs. Palin last year.

"Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true," he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize."
This is a leftist blog that I can actually respect, even if I don't agree with it. Check out her commentary on Sarah Palin! Actually fair and balanced - something usually associated with right wing blogs! This might be a new one for the blog roll!
I'm still a big supporter of Gov. Palin! and this is why.

Palin said the challenges she faced during her pregnancy with her son Trig, who was born with Down syndrome, gave her an opportunity to live out her anti-abortion beliefs. She said she prayed often during her pregnancy, especially after tests revealed that her son would be born with the condition.
"The moment he was born, I knew that moment my prayers had been answered," Palin said. "Trig is a miracle. He is the best thing that ever happened to me and I want other women to have that opportunity."

One of the things you quickly learn when you visit the Palins is that the legend created around who they are and how they live is no myth. It appears to be absolutely real and everything about them seems 100% sincere. From the stuffed hunting trophies on the wall, to Track’s military photo by the TV set, to Piper’s crayon school projects on the refrigerator door - everything is exactly as you imagined.

As a former TV sportscaster and radio talk show host I’ve interviewed a lot big-time “celebrities,” and can honestly say that even though you could argue Sarah Palin was the most prominent, she is also by far the nicest, most sincere and seemingly honest subject I’ve ever questioned

I love Sarah Palin. I love how she knows her way around a Walmart, I love the pictures of her before the election showing her in real mom clothes, I love how she hugs her daughter, carries her baby and how she and her husband really love each other. I think she was smart, brave articulate and did very well for being thrust into the national spotlight.
Now, I cannot stand Tina Fey. SNL will become the dinosaur that it is and no one will care about it any more. 30 Rock will probably get canceled. Katie Couric and the rest can be really proud of themselves for tearing a good woman apart while they gave that knuckle head Biden a pass on many of the dumb things he said during the campaign.
You want to know why we don't have good people running for office? It's because no body with any sense wants to put themselves through this kind of crap.
I love Sarah Palin. I hope she stays in Alaska and lives a long, happy, productive life. We don't deserve anyone as good as her down here.

- White women voted McCain/Palin 53-46. That's more or less the same as the Bush/Cheney score with this group in 2004 (55-44).- White independents voted McCain/Palin 49-47. There are no comparable data on this group for 2004, but we do know that independents went for Kerry 49-48 in 2004, and 52-44 for Obama this year. It's safe to conclude that the swing to Obama in this category was caused by non-white independents voting overwhelmingly for the Democratic ticket.- White evangelical/born again christians voted McCain/Palin 74-24 in 2008, which is slightly lower than the 78-21 breakdown in 2004. But their share of the total vote was larger this time than last time (26 percent in 2008 versus 23 percent in 2004), so on balance the white evangelical/born again contribution to the Republican vote was probably about the same size as it was in 2004.- Gun owners votied for McCain/Palin in the same numbers they voted for Bush/Cheney last time round: 62-37 in 2008 versus 63-36 in 204Conclusion: on her four main target groups, Palin delivered the goods for the McCain campaign. In all four categories, the McCain/Palin share of the vote was virtually identical to the Bush/Cheney share in 2004.

Her child, my child, and every special needs child, are not to be pitied. They are to be emulated. What a salve to the soul that Palin understands and articulates this. It brings so many special people and their families out of the shadows and into the limelight. They have so much to be proud of, and she helps them recognize that.
How does she have such a beautiful perspective? Because she sees the power, value, necessity and joy inherent in each individual life. It takes different eyes to see that, and a different voice - a mother's voice - to articulate it.
