Americans Would Vote Against Obama Now, Health Care Rating and Approval Down
I think a lot of folks that voted for Obama were swept away with ... well swept away. Even staunch pro-lifers who voted for Obama and have been trying to justify it all year long.
-
Washington,
DC (LifeNews.com) -- A new poll shows that, on the day voters
head to the polls in several states for off-year elections, Americans
would vote against pro-abortion President Barack Obama for president.
Another survey shows his approval rating down as well as his rating
on handling health care.

I guess when Obama said hope and change - this is what he had in mind.

President Barack Obama has only been in office for just over nine months, but he's already hit the links as much as President Bush did in over two years.
CBS' Mark Knoller — an unofficial documentarian and statistician of all things White House-related — wrote on his Twitter feed that, "Today - Obama ties Pres. Bush in the number of rounds of golf played in office: 24.
Took Bush 2 yrs & 10 months."

Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize to mixed reviews | Reuters
Oh for cryin out loud...
-
OSLO (Reuters) - President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for giving the world "hope for a better future" and striving for nuclear disarmament, in a surprise award that drew both warm praise and sharp criticism.
The decision to bestow one of the world's top accolades on a president less than nine months into his first term, who has yet to score a major foreign policy success, was greeted with gasps of astonishment from journalists at the announcement in Oslo.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee praised Obama for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." But critics -- especially in parts of the Arab and Muslim world -- called its decision premature.

While White House spokesman Robert Gibbs today refrained from telling reporters whether President Obama in his speech Wednesday night will set a deadline for passing health care reform, sources tell ABC News that in his private meeting with Democratic congressional leaders this afternoon the key word was urgency.
The president told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., that it is important for them to pass health care reform bills soon, the sources said.
Both leaders told the president that despite the difficult rough and tumble of the legislative process in the last few weeks, they are optimistic that both the House and Senate can pass health care reform legislation.

When you track the President’s Job Approval on a daily basis, people sometimes get so caught up in the day-to-day fluctuations that they miss the bigger picture. To look at the longer-term trends, Rasmussen Reports has compiled the numbers on a full-month basis and the results can be seen in the graphics below.
Looking back, after the initial euphoria of inauguration day, the President’s ratings slipped a bit but remained steady and positive from February thru May. In June, the numbers began to move down a bit, still remained generally positive. July and August were less positive months for the President.
Overall, the number who Strongly Approve has fallen from 43% in January to 30% in August. During that same time frame, the number who Strongly Disapprove has grown from 20% to 39%. Those numbers translate to a Presidential Approval Index that has declined from +23 in January to -9 in August.
Also in August, the President’s total approval fell below 50% for the first time.
(more below)
While opposition to the President’s proposed health care reform is partly responsible for the declining approval ratings, the numbers reflect a broader level of frustration. Last fall, during the Bush Administration, voters overwhelmingly opposed the bailout plans for banks but the bailout went ahead. Earlier this year, voters overwhelmingly opposed the federal takeover of General Motors and Chrysler, but they went ahead as well. Two-thirds of American voters (64%) support a law requiring the federal government to sell its interest in GM within one year.
AARP Members Leaving Over Health Reform
Janette used AARP as a "conservative" example of a group supporting Obama care - but seniors are jumping that ship like rats off of the Titanic!
-
As many as 60,000 AARP members have left the group in protest over its stance on healthcare reform, CBS News reported on August 17.
-
“I'm extremely disappointed in AARP,” declared Elaine Guardiani, a 14-year AARP veteran. Retired nurse Dale Anderson was with AARP for 12 years but now says, “I don't wanna be connected with AARP.” These feelings were echoed by other members who attended an August 4 town hall meeting sponsored by AARP. A YouTube video of the meeting shows how much frustration AARP members are experiencing with the group.
White House projects bigger deficits, bigger debt - Yahoo! News
If you voted for Obama is this really the hope and change you were looking for? Really??
-
WASHINGTON – The federal government faces exploding deficits and mounting debt over the next decade, White House officials predicted Tuesday in a fiscal assessment far bleaker than what the Obama administration had estimated just a few months ago.
Figures released by the White House budget office foresee a cumulative $9 trillion deficit from 2010-2019, $2 trillion more than the administration estimated in May. Moreover, the figures show the public debt doubling by 2019 and reaching three-quarters the size of the entire national economy.
-
The deeper red ink and the gloomy unemployment forecast present President Barack Obama with an enormous challenge. The new numbers come as he prods Congress to enact a major overhaul of the health care system — one that could cost $1 trillion or more over 10 years. Obama has said he doesn't want the measure to add to the deficit, but lawmakers have been unable to agree on revenues that cover the cost.

Great DepressionEnrollment surged by 2 percent to reach a record 34.4
million people, or one in nine Americans, in May, the latest
month for which figures are available.
Obama’s Approval Rating Drops on Health Care, Economy Concerns - Bloomberg.com
-
Aug. 6 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama’s approval
rating is falling amid concerns about the U.S. economy and his
push to revamp the U.S. health-care system, a Quinnipiac
University poll shows.
Exactly half of the registered voters surveyed from July
27 to Aug. 3 by Quinnipiac said they approve of the job Obama
is doing, compared with 42 percent who disapprove. That’s down
from 57 percent approval and 33 percent disapproval in a poll
taken in late June, according to results released today.
Americans are upset about rising unemployment and worried
that health-care plans making their way through Congress will
add to the U.S. budget deficit, said Peter Brown, assistant
director of the Hamden, Connecticut-based polling institute.
The combination has helped drive down the president’s ratings.
A “willingness to give him the benefit of the doubt is,
among some voters, evaporating,” Brown told reporters in
Washington yesterday.
