Homage to the D&D Rules Cyclopedia
A series of seven blog posts describing why the D&D Rules Cyclopedia was the most indispensable tome to come from TSR/WOTC. Way to bring back the memories!
Photo Sharing Services
ConsumerSearch has posted my update to their report on photo-sharing services. In short, Google's Picasa Web Albums probably works best for you cheapskates out there, as it is the simplest and most integrated way to organize, upload, and share your photos--plus it's free.

The Best Running Watches and How to Choose the Right One
Hands-down the best overview of GPS-enabled sports watches I've found. The site as a whole has a wealth of information, but this article in particular is excellent for giving an overview of what's out there and making tough comparisons.
The Benefits of a Stand Up Desk at Work
Apart from the typos, this article has some good ideas and provides a decent overview of standing desks.
The 10 Most Overrated Products

Nice review of Linux file managers. The author seems to like Midnight Commander and Krusader the most.
Differences between SeaMonkey vs. Firefox and Thunderbird
Nice table comparing SeaMonkey 1.1 to Firefox/Thunderbird 2.
Best-Reviewed Lightweight GNU/Linux Distros
Despite the affordability of hardware currently, I appreciate lean, efficient software and am devoting this post to identifying the best lightweight GNU/Linux distros available today.
Other Lightweight GNU/Linux Distros
Anyone considering using GNU/Linux is immediately struck by the dizzying array of “distros” available. This thread over at the Ubuntu forums has an excellent starting list of lightweight distros worth considering, but many of them are very barebones, outdated, potentially unstable, or simply don’t work as well as one might hope. I narrowed my own list down by applying seven basic standards that any distro I use must meet, as described in this post.
A comparison of four window managers
These all happen to be "lightweight" window managers at that. The author prefers openbox and pekwm.
MiniLinux Listing
A list of linux distros by size, with "best" selection for each group. Clearly Ubuntu-biased, but still useful for its comprehensiveness. Written before PCLinuxOS Minime was released.
