Buttermilk Pancakes

Add some regular milk, and you've got the equally popular "Truckstop Buttermilk Pancakes."

Then add tons of sugar and replace the butter for vegetable oil to get "Buttermilk Pancakes I".

10 Homemade Laundry Soap Detergent Recipes

Incredible. Recipes seem pretty similar, such as #4 and #9, both for powdered detergent. They average out to:

1 to 2 cups grated bar soap
1 to 1.5 cups Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
0 to 1 cups Baking Soda
Optional: 4 or 5 drops of fragrant essential oil

Use 2 tablespoons (1/8 cup) per load.

Adding vinegar and using liquid soap instead of bar soap make #10 a different kind of powdered detergent.

French Toast

Mango Lassi

This tasted exactly like the mango lassis I've had at Indian restaurants. I made mine with frozen mangos, which made the lassi thicker and probably less flavorful, but it was still excellent.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Excellent recipe, though I made the following "compromises" and it still came out fine.

- Used about half the salt, as recommended by other reviewers. Good call.
- Grilled the chicken in a frying pan without skewers.
- Added about a teaspoon of freshly ground coriander.
- Used ground ginger instead of fresh ginger.
- Did not have any cayenne on hand.

The only thing I'll change next time is to add the cayenne. Without it, so the dish came out fairly mild. If you like medium to "hot" dishes at a typical Indian restaurant, you'll definitely want the cayenne too.
