The Micro-Sociology of Networks
A really interesting Slideshare presentation on a number of levels that looks at the development of social networking in relation to human needs and behaviours. Through looking backwards at technological evolution and then onto the present it suggests that the whole process is part of a cycle. Definitely worth a look at.
