Accounting firm Web sites: what are the benefits? | National Public Accountant, The | Find Articles at BNET

To learn about the benefits and costs of maintaining a web site, we sent an E-mail survey to 131 small and medium-sized accounting firms selected randomly from Bowling Green State University's Directory of Accounting Firms (http://www.cba.bgsu.edu/amis/cpafirms/). Fifty-six firms responded with information about their web sites. Almost all the responding firms have one to three offices and fewer than 40 professionals (see Table 1). Most of the firms created their web sites very recently. Only six firms had a web site that was more than two years old.
