twitter logoIf you’re under 25 and use Twitter, you’re not the source of the site’s tremendous growth. While we recently questioned the findings of a largely anecdotal report from Morgan Stanley written by a 15 year old, Nielsen has now produced figures that confirm the trend: young people don’t Tweet."

Is Social Media A Fad

  • Is Social Media A Fad

Social media giant Facebook is currently ADDING a million 25+ (non-student) adults per week to their rosters - that's 52 million new users a year...
YouTube.com gets over 50 million unique visitors per month... over half a billion a year...
MySpace.com sees over 49 million unique visitors each month - over 1.6 million a day...
    Those numbers are CRAZY!
And new social sites of all kinds are popping up each day... social networks... social bookmarking pages... user generated content sites... video sharing... photo sharing... blogging... virtual worlds... and more are all growing at an explosive rate.
"But Aren't These Social Media Sites Just For Kids?"
    Is Social Media a Fad?
  • Social Media could be considered a fad maybe two years ago, but now these sites are crammed with professionals with all kinds of disposable income (who are comfortable buying things online) - look at who is signing onto these social sites, for example...
62% of MySpace visitors are older than 25 (40% are 35+), and 83% are making over $30,000 a year...
and 19% are making $100,000 and up...
Facebook.com is a little younger since it started with college students - but that's changing in a hurry - 46% are over 25 and 34% are 35+... but they've got deep pockets - 88% make more than $30,000... and 23% make $100,000 or more...
To put that into perspective... that means 880,000 twenty-somethings who make over $30,000 a year are joining Facebook.com
    this year ...
That's over $42,500,000,000... 42.5 BILLION DOLLARS of new spending power flowing into Facebook.com alone -- EVERY WEEK!

    HireAbility's Recruiter
Training Center presents "MySpace for Recruiters," by Jim Durbin, the Social
    Media Headhunter

HireAbility is once again bringing you a cutting-edge
training that will help transform the way you find and hire candidates! By
utilizing the steps Jim teaches in this 90-minute training, you will be able to
maneuver through MySpace and perform special search techniques for finding
candidates, utilize strategies for contacting candidates through their MySapce
page, perform best practices for finding groups of passive candidates, and
    more.

MySpace is THE world's largest social network. In fact, over 100
million people are signed up as users, a number much higher than even the
leading job boards -- and that means tons of potential candidates for you! And,
did you know that MySpace can potentially add nearly 100K of profit for a
staffing firm or the hiring of eight to 10 of the most desirable candidates for
a corporate recruiter? Now, that's impressive.

    Take a look at these
    stats:

    * 25 percent of Americans use MySpace
    * Over half of all
registered users are over the age of 35
    * MySpace is the most trafficked Web
    site in the United States
    * 12 percent of all online minutes are spent on
    MySpace
    * 13.6 percent of all Internet users in the world are users on
    MySpace
    * On average, 300,000 people sign up for MySpace every single
    day

Times are tough. Stay ahead of the competition. And, don't miss out
on learning from an actual practitioner performing the art of recruiting!

New Communication Theory and the New Roles for the New
    World of Marketing

  • In the era of the "new" social Web,
communications is actually evolving back to its origins of communicating with
people, not at them. It may seem implied, but communications does not, for the
    most part,
    embody two-way discussions.
