More great stuff. Remember the "$1500 to surge to the top" guys can't build your defensible reputation online. Only you can do that through content. This piece gives you some great guidelines on how NOT to make the googlebot angry

Wow. Wordpress.com just got a lot cooler! Let's see how quickly the amount of text based posts drop and video based posts accelerate. I'm not sure it will be earth shattering early on because many people are still intimidated by the "camera". We shall see. Very good development!

This has promise. Is this the platform that will take away the "If I could just get $10k to build a prototype" excuse? We shall see. I can't wait to hear what people do with this.

I've been missing a few events lately myself, so I did a little research and figured out how to automatically sync my facebook events with my google calendar (my scheduling lifeblood!). Our team uses google calendar for EVERYTHING and it's a snap to learn. So use this great blog post to set up this feature yourself!

Cool stuff here. Twitter search results within google. I'm pretty happy with some of the other search/subscribe tools out there...but I could see using this regularly for ad hoc searching. As we all know, Twitter is a great tool for building community, branding, and extending the conversation...in business or in a political campaign.

This is a great checklist. I think unfortunately, most people aren't honest with themselves when they go through and answer the questions. The most important items on the list for me are being comfortable with the financial risk, ensuring your spouse is on board, and being comfortable with making decisions w/o a playbook. As I progress in my own business, I notice those around me who are less comfortable with rapid change and using "best guess" scenarios to choose progress over paralysis. Also seeing a lot of fall out from tech guys who believe that being in business means delivering technology...when usually it means SELLING THEMSELVES. Tough to realize ahead of time unless you're really in tune with your own SWOT's
