Man died of heart attack while paramedic conducted risk assessment
A grandfather died of a heart attack while an emergency paramedic stood outside his home for 16 minutes, making a risk assessment. A paramedic who arrived within six minutes and saw the door open feared that the property was being burgled. He stayed on the doorstep carrying out a “risk assessment exercise” before calling police for support. When he entered the property, 16 minutes after arriving, and found Mr Adams in the front room of his home in Morden, South London, he was not breathing. Mr Adams was dead by the time he reached hospital.

Detroit Police Underreport Homicides
A Detroit News review of police and medical examiner records found that the Detroit police department is “systematically undercounting homicides.” Detroit police routinely reclassify homicides as justifiable, or deaths by suicide, or accident in annual reports to the FBI, and by doing so, the department has falsely lowered the city’s homicide rate, the paper found. If Detroit police had not incorrectly reclassified 22 slayings last year, the city would have had the worst homicide rate of U.S. cities with more than 500,000 residents, according to the Detroit News.
First World War veteran Henry Allingham, 113, is 'world's oldest man'
Great War veteran Henry Allingham is the world's oldest man following the death of the previous holder of the title in Japan on Friday, Guinness World Records has confirmed.Mr Allingham, whose life has spanned three centuries and six monarchs, has five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild. He has attributed his longevity to "cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women".
