Had any good salmon lately?

I was working remote when a chat window from “excellentsalmon” popped up posing the question, “wouldn’t it be cool to play with a kitten the size of an elephant?” I thought for a minute. Got Shares? (GotShares.com): Thoughts on Reno, Nevada

Two girls in skimpy outfits offering jello shots; huge nachos for five bucks; multiple pitchers of beer everywhere; three rooms of television screens and plenty of seating; and drawings for sports memorabilia. If it wasn't March Madness, though, I'd probably go to Harrah's. They have a classy joint, and it shows.

  • All of these point to the fact that information about a topic, product or service is becoming more valuable by the day.  And this further supports my premise that all businesses are becoming information businesses to some extent. Free Nine Inch Nails albums top 2008 Amazon MP3 sales charts - Ars Technica

  • "So why would fans bother buying files that were identical to the ones on the file sharing networks?" asks Fred Benenson of Creative Commons, and he has an answer. "One explanation is the convenience and ease-of-use of NIN and Amazon's MP3 stores. But another is that fans understood that purchasing MP3s would directly support the music and career of a musician they liked. The next time someone tries to convince you that releasing music under CC will cannibalize digital sales, remember that Ghosts I-IV broke that rule, and point them here."
