  • Thurber: Unpublished and Uncensored. Sex, War and Dogs is from the original 68 Thurber drawings donated to the Ohio State University Rare Books & Manuscripts library by film critic Nora Sayre. Sayre is the daughter of Joel Sayre, who was Thurber's colleague and friend at The New Yorker.

The drawings span the years from 1935 to 1945 and include Thurber cartoons dealing with World War II. Other cartoons are risqué and sardonic, according to a Thurber House spokesman.
