BoB Edward Lear animation

  • When I was a kid, I woke up early every Saturday morning to watch the animated "Tomfoolery," with its use of Edward Lear's limericks and literary nonsense, along with the works of others. I couldn't wait for it each week, and it still makes me laugh today. It wasn't the humor alone that grabbed me but the colorful, fast-paced images and the great writing, which was as educational as it was entertaining. It was a well-crafted cartoon from the folks who brought us such holiday classics as "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman."
