A history of Telematic Art : Australian Perspective

"Artist's use of communication networks between the mid 1970's to mid 80's represents a remarkable pioneering effort that acted as a precursor to the internet. This site is by no means intended to provide a comprehensive history of art telecommunications but overviews some of the major developments and Australia's role in this history."

Lunar Standard Time (LST) - What time is it on the Moon?

"The Lunar year consists of twelve days, named after the first men who walked on the Moon. Each day is divided into 30 cycles of time, with each cycle being divided into 24 moon-hours. Each moon-hour then has 60 moon-minutes, which in turn of course are made up of 60 moon-seconds each."

Napping: the expert's guide | Life and style | The Guardian

A nap of 60 minutes improves alertness for up to 10 hours. Research on pilots shows that a 26-minute "Nasa" nap in flight (while the plane is manned by a copilot) enhanced performance by 34% and overall alertness by 54%. One Harvard study published last year showed that a 45-minute nap improves learning and memory. Napping reduces stress and lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke, diabetes, and excessive weight gain.

Python: module powernap

  • Pretty accurate-ish timing in python

Python's time.sleep() is rather bad for accurate timing.

It can sleep for less time than requested, if there's an interrupt.

Or longer, depending on what the scheduler is up to.
