Cubicle Muses - Wave's Web of Protocols
"Google Waves uses XMPP only for server to server federation. Joe Gregorio has a good overview of the actual APIs and protocols used in Wave, but I still found it easier to create a diagram. I’m actually concerned about the different protocols and the fact that only the XMPP federation protocol is documented. The other two protocols: the json-rpc robot protocol and the GWT generated client-server protocol have no documentation. Moreover, the protocols are generated rpc protocols and make heavy use of serialized data."

XEP-xxxx: Microblogging Over XMPP
this specification defines a method for microblogging over XMPP, building on the existing method for transporting Atom syndication data (RFC 4287 [3]) over XMPP as described in AtomSub [4]. These XMPP-based methods are complementary to HTTP-based methods, and can provide an XMPP interface to existing microblogging services (which may also be accessible via HTTP, Short Message Service (SMS), and other message transports).

Insoshi open-source social networking platform (Insoshi open-source social networking platform wiki)
The Insoshi open-source social networking platform grew out of RailsSpace, the social network developed in the book RailsSpace: Building a Social Networking Website with Ruby on Rails by Michael Hartl and Aurelius Prochazka (Addison-Wesley, July 2007). Insoshi already has more features than RailsSpace, and will add more quickly as the project progresses.

The psychodelic generative sound output from PD is based on the speed of IM conversation between two skype users. If you are chatting very quick, the sound gets faster and more brutal, making you even quicker. If the time between the IM messages is getting longer, the sound transforms into 60Hz (ohhhhm) sinus fields, evoking warm feelings and slower typing among participating chatters. The sound output of PD should be redirected directly into the Skype call which is initiated by the python script.
